This, this was different. Everything felt different ever since the night that she finally accepted Saga's feelings towards her. A man, but not just any man. A Beorc man was the one who managed to win her over. While he was nothing like her first love but it was his stubbornness that finally won her over. It was hard to concentrate on her own depression and sadness, thinking about him.

The more she thought about it, the more she didn't mind the idea of having kids with him. But it would be selfish of her to do that, and also she isn't ready. Not yet. He might be ready but she isn't.

But, for now. She pushes all the depressing things out of her mind as she pulls out a small sheet from her oven. A sheet filled with flowers folded in a particular pattern. She giggles and beams a little. Good, it looks like she managed to remember the recipe! While the flowers were cooling, she goes to fetch a basket and line it carefully with a piece of cloth before setting the flowers within it. There, she made her favorite food and now to deliver it to Saga.

She flies over to his farm, looking around before quickly dropping off the basket inside his mailbox, and then hurrying back to her farm to try and be semi-sneaky with delivering the gift. Flowers which were baked, inside the nectar of the flowers were various fruits and berries, cooked within the nectar.

Saga was working on the field, going back to drown himself in his work. He recovered quickly from the clinic, but nowadays he felt insecure about revealing his feelings ever since. That means she knows he feels about her, and he's wearing his heart on his sleeve, but even then, he never stopped thinking about her...and eventually he knew it then, he was in love with her...but bringing up the ideas of children or building a family is too soon. For now, the idea of being in love with her gave him the strength he needed and never knew he had within him...carrying a sense of purpose when he lost his with his Goddess.

She can sense the man carry an aura of darkness within him with blood on his past...though it's no longer there. Yet, his cosmos radiants a strong and protective power...though that power is sleeping within him for now.

He just put his last shipment in the box, so he can get paid the next day, and that's when he noticed something is in his mailbox. It was from Leanne, and when he ate it for his afternoon tea, it was very sweet and yet...very aromatic with flowers and berries within the fruit. Just eating it relieves his fatigue and exhaustion somewhat.

He can't help himself but return the favor, so after teatime, he shyly went to her front door and gave it a knock, and when she opened it.

"Hello, Leanne. Did you left me something in the mailbox?" He was curious, teasing her, knowing the gift is coming from her. "I'll have you know, it's very sweet." But he isn't complaining because he does like sweets, especially to go with his afternoon tea.

A part of her prays that he liked it and after giving her gifts all this time, it was nice to return the favor and give him a gift. After delivering the gift, she heads back to her farm in order to finish preparing her shipment.... And not knowing what to do with all the money she had gained.

To have him come visit her during teatime, while before it wasn't unusual, this time around, she didn't expect it. She opens her front door and looks up at him, at once a blush goes through her and she gains a shy expression on her face.

"I don't know what you are talking about." She teases him back, finding herself blushing even moreso than before, using a wing to half-hide her face. "But, I am glad that you liked it. It is my favorite food and I wanted to share it with you. My mother made it all the time."

"I think we both know. After all, such a beautiful dessert is made by such a beauty as yourself." He said as he tries his best to find his talent to compliment her while she's blushing and hiding behind her wings.

"I'm just stopping by to show you my gratitude and return your gift. Since it's your favorite food, I just want to let the chef know I like it because I like sweets...and you are sweet to share with me. Your mother taught you well." He said, smiling softly. Though Saga being an orphan, has no memory of his own mother and father.

Then shyly, being gentle as he could. "I heard there's a carnival fair happening in another town. It's small but worth going. Would you like to go?" After all, it's been long since they last go on a date, and part of it, he felt they're still both uncertain of each other, and he wanted nothing more than to try bonding with her again. There's that guilty expression he has when he's uncertain of her approval. "Ah...it's been a while since we...last go on a date."

Leanne goes to blush even more from behind her wing. "It wasn't as beautiful as the cake you bought for me." So much blushing right now.

Though when he mentioned about how well her mother taught her, she couldn't help but to wiggle her ears a little in happiness. "Thank you, Saga. I just wanted to share something I loved with the man I love." Oh goddess! She can't believe that she said it out loud like that!

A shy giggle escapes her as she slowly moves her wing out of the way to reveal her blushing face. It was nice to see that she wasn't the only shy one right now. "I would love to go with you." She goes to respond softly, finally looking up at him and making eye contact. It has been a long time since they went out together as she didn't consider the previous times as dates.

Leanne goes to step closer and reaches out to take one of his hands in order to try and rest it against her face. Either her face felt small or his hand is so large, but no matter, she lets out a small sigh as she held his hand to her face before letting go of it. She will get used to this, the touch and the scent of her lover.

"There are other beautiful things other than the cake you know." He said, teasing. With her approval, he gains the confidence to ask her. "Like you."

He makes a small pause to realize and observed what's she doing. Her face resting in his hands, and he...wanted to be closer to her. He found her very warm to hold. "You're very radiant now." He remarked. Then with a smile, "Then today, I'll make this day the best day for you to remember."

When she let go, he reached up to stroke the side of her face and through her long, blonde hair, and then tuck her stray hair behind her cute ears. With a soft expression and smile of his own, he leans forward to give her a quick peck and kiss on her lips, to help her relax in his presence.

"Let's go now." And make it a fun day for her to remember. "There will be food and games over there too, and a market so we might find something."

The blush grew deeper at his teasing. A part of her wondered just how long he has been waiting to say those things to her. She kept pushing him away but now, now she was free to accept them. "You are just saying that, Darling."

She closes her eyes as he speaks even more, still allowing her face to be in his hands. "This day should be about you as well." She coos.

But then he pets her and the touch felt good. Could a simple touch really feel this good and comforting? She lets out a long sigh as he continues to pet her. His hand discovering her elf like ears when he tucked some hair behind it. She sighs again at both the quick peck and the kiss on her lips.

This... This is all she can do for him at this moment. To try her best to get used to his touch and scent, so that one day, they can mate without fear of what is to come.

"I wonder what they are selling, Darling." She finally opens her eyes to just smile up at him. "I have some gold, let me go and get it really quick and perhaps a bag as well."

There are many things he wanted to say to her, so many thoughts, emotions, but for now, he's taking it slowly and taking his time. Didn't want to too fast or too deep, and being gentle as he could.

"I like saying it again and again. Especially if you find it pleasing. What's pleasing to you is pleasing to me." So once she fetched her gold, he took her hand, he takes the lead because he knows the road that will take them to the carnival.

"This is our day, so yes, yours and mine as well. And they could sell anything." Though he'll make it his mission to find something cute for her.

The carnival isn't that far off, as people set up booths and vendors near the village and the forest, selling food, games, and merchandise with an open market and all over, there are people participating in a competition and contest as well. Bright lights were assembled to light up the night and light up around the trees.

"Beautiful night...." Then there's space where couples are dancing to the live music. Holding her hand, he decided to ask. "Princess, would you like to dance...?" A slow blush crept on his cheeks as he's overcoming his shyness. "With me?"

"What girl doesn't like to be called beautiful?" She mock-chides but is blushing as he takes her hand and begins to lead the both of them. "Especially by their Darling." Much blushing.

The slowness is welcomed as she is still trying to wrap her thoughts and mind around the fact that her beloved is a beorc. "Please let me know if you find something you like. I would like to get it for you."

The sounds of the carnival was the first thing that greeted her before the lights and smells. Her wings flared up in reaction before relaxing once again. Leanne remained close to Saga, especially when they reached a crowded area, whimpering a little.

But then, they reached the space and she lets out a sigh as she watches the couples dancing. A part of her wishing to join in the dance before blinking in surprise at Saga's words. "How did you know?" About her being a princess and also her desire to dance. She then moves his hand to kiss it, not having the space to kiss his cheek as a blush dusts her cheeks.

"I would not like to dance with you." A small pause to let it sink in, a small tease to make him think it's another rejection. "I would love to dance with you."

At this point, he's learning how she likes being spoken to. He isn't used to being called Darling. Most people back home called him so formally and respectfully (he's the priest and Gemini Saint), but here, this girl made him feel like himself.

"Likewise, I should be getting something for you as well." Saga observed her reaction, and have her stay close to him, so she wouldn't be nervous around large crowds. There are too many cute merchandises for sale in the market, and Saga can get anything she wanted, that it's hard to pick and chose. It was then he noticed the people dancing under the canopy, it's hard not to resist to join in.

At her question, he simply winked, "Let's just have some fun princess. And let's just say I think I can read your mind." Her cosmo feels warm and radiant to him that he is able to focus and read what's on her mind. At her answer, "I always wanted to dance with you."

Eventually, she'll find her in his strong arms, and he has her gliding among the crowds, dancing under the canopy while live music being placed. She just has to mind her wings to avoid bumping into another dancing pair. "Stay close to me, and take it slow." He dances slowly, minding his own feet...but off sync with the rhythm of the music played by the band.

She does know that he was a warrior and someone to be feared back home, but he hasn't given her any reason to treat him as anyone other than Saga.

A soft giggle escapes from her and she goes to shake her head. "Darling, you have already bought me plenty of things. I wish to buy you something." She definitely felt safe and protected, staying close to him as they look around.

She pouts a little before blinking and tilting her head. "You should have told me you could have read my mind." So much pouting right now.

But then, she was held so close to him in those strong arms again. She lets out a small sigh, idly breathing in his scent as he leads her in the dance. "Saga..." She brings her wings close and follows his slow lead. Her eyes closed and she moves to idly tuck her face against him as they danced.

"I just picked up you want to dance. I didn't look too deep." He said and he continues dancing with her until the music is over, and the all the pairs applauded the band at the stage, and the leader announced they're going to play the next song to keep the night going.

Taking this pause, with him holding her in his arms. "There is something I want...but it can't be bought..." He knows he's talking in riddles. And that gift she brought him is enough for him, but she didn't realize that.

Gently tugging her along away from the crowd. He isn't planning to dance with her, at least for far too long. "Come with me. This way." This isn't the right place, and he has some place in mind where he wanted her to be, so he can tell her. "I have to show you, but once we get there, it will be made clear." He asking her to trust him to go along with it.

She still pouted at him. "Thank you, Saga... Truly, thank you. You don't... You don't need to call me, Princess." But then the music stopped and she joins in the applause for the band.

She blinks at his words and tilts her head. "What is it?" You have to give her more than just that. What gift was it that she bought him?

Though he starts tugging her away from the crowd and slowly nods her head. "Okay." Okay, now she was really curious as to what is on his mind and desires. Emerald eyes studies his back as she goes to follow him, her hand, never letting go of his hand. Hearing that silent ask, she will grant it to him. Her trust.

He heard that. "All right, Leanne it is." The sweet she baked for him? That gift. But it was more than that. It was something on his mind for a while, but he was waiting for the right time and the right moment.

He leads her through the crowd, through the aisles of vendors until they're close to this garden within the forest...

He brought her to a field of wildflowers, grown in the fields untouched by humans, hidden in the forest, grown in the wild. When they arrived there, they found a lone mother doe and a baby deer grazing and eating the sweet flowers, but their presence made them skittish and they trotted away from them.

"This. This place. I found this a while ago because some locals said they spotted faeries gathered here at night. I went hunting for faeries but didn't find any. But I did find this..."

He gestured her to look up and see a full bright moon and with a soft glowing light, it shines on the wildflowers that surrounds them all over the fields.

She smiles when he agrees to not call her "Princess". She felt a little bad hiding it from him but... Such a title was meaningless when you are the very last of your kind. She leans up to give him a kiss on the cheek to reaffirming her preference.

Just Leanne, she is just a normal girl here. She doesn't want any special treatment due to her bloodline.

Emerald eyes blink as he takes her to the hidden garden and she couldn't help but to gasp at the beauty of it. She follows his instructions and looks up at the moon, her hand trying to slip out of his hand in order to twirl and dance a little in the moonlight, being careful of all the flowers here as she dances.

With that confirmation, he nodded and understood.

He stood by, standing guard, and observes her dancing and communing with the wildflowers and trees, and waited. He wanted her to enjoy the serene nature as much as he does. For a moment, she does look like a fairy...with a difference in wings.

When her dance is done, and he was entranced, for a moment, he almost has forgotten the real reason he brought her here.

"Leanne, I....this has been on my mind." He began, and once that capture her attention. "But first...had you ever wanted to go back home?" It was something he was curious about, and they had talked about her staying in the valley here, where he will keep her safe and protected. "I had seen people returned home."

"Here, I can keep you safe and protected, and I know we can have a happy life here...together." He said, but he's brought it up, wondering if she wanted the same thing as he does...having a future together.

She giggles as she finishes her dance and smiles lovingly at Saga. This place was beautiful and she was truly grateful for this gift.

She tilts her head at his question before letting out a sigh, looking up at the moon before moving to sit down, patting the spot next to her.

"There is nothing for me back at my home... Only a sleep which I cannot awaken from." She goes to look down at her feet, wiggling her toes a little. "The unwaking sleep and loneliness of it. If I go back.... I may never get to experience life again, I may never get this chance again."

If he took her offer of sitting next to her, she would lean over and just lean on him, her eyes half closing. "Plus, you wouldn't be there... I... I want to be selfish and stay here. Stay here for as long as I am able."

Saga sat down next to her, so she can lean on him as much as she likes, his strong arm is the best place to lay her head on. He listens and nods, and after a few long moments, he's blushing as he's trying to sort out his thoughts and feelings that has been on his mind and in his heart.

"Then you...you don't have to go back. Stay here with me. Even though if you do feel like going back home, I will go with you. With me, you are free. I know we can build a future here together, just me and you. I'll devote my entire life to you." He said as the passion and love he has for her is really hitting the crescendo.

"I...I love you." He said. "I believe it's no accident you came to this valley and we live side by side as neighbors. I came here because I'm seeking a new purpose and leaving my past behind. I do believe in fate and destiny. I served a Goddess Athena back home as her priest and warrior, so I always read in the stars of my fate and the fate of others."

He waited, he waited a long time to tell her and the timing seem to be right. "Every night, I start dreaming about you, and everyday when I wake up, I will rush to see you because I was hoping you stay by my side and I'll stay by yours." Now it's his turn to fidget with his own hair nervously. "I believe our stars are good together and we are compatible, and any difficulty we face, we will face it together."

Actually, that's not what he really wanted to say, so Saga shifted his focus to the main reason.

"Leanne, I simply love you. Very madly and deeply so. I want to be forever with you." Now he's blushing red and his heart thumping, his heart is so open. "If you believe in soulmates, that I believed you're my soulmate and in my heart, it's written in the stars."

There. That's what he wanted to say.

She closes her eyes after she said her piece, leaning against his strong arm. Her eyes slowly reopens when he starts speaking again, pouring his heart out to her. The warmth of his love and heart can easily be felt and she couldn't help but to blush as she listens to him.

"I.... I also believe that it wasn't an accident that we became neighbors. It seemed like the goddess Ashuera wanted us to meet." She idly scoots a little bit in order to cuddle with him.

"You dream about me? What was I like in the dreams?" And seeing him fidget with his hair and getting nervous.... It was... It was cute and a little adorable. She lets out a small giggle at the sight as she listens to his newest confession.

Well, for him, there really wasn't a way to properly respond to it other than this. She leans up, moving to her knees so that she was more on his level, one hand moving to gently cup his face within it before she leans forward to give him the most loving kiss she could muster. Her arms moving to idly drape over his shoulders as she kisses him, holding it there for a few moments before finally breaking it so they can both get some air.

"What do you look like in dreams? Beautiful as you are and radiant." He answered, and he's about to say something when he was broken off by her kiss, her soft lips being pressed against his. At that moment, he wondering if he's really dreaming, but this is real. Her lips, her warm, and she truly returning his feelings.

He looks a bit disappointed when the kiss is over, and with the way his eyes not leaving her. A slow blush crept on his cheeks. "Do you feel the same for me...?" He said, with such a hopeful look and following suit, he cupped her cheeks, tucking her blonde hair behind her ears. Despite that she rejected him from before, his feelings for her still remain stronger than ever. "I would like to kiss you again." This time, he wants to do it right like that time he took her to the beach.

She couldn't help but to blush as he begins to describe how she looked in his dreams. She will have to properly retort that once she is done kissing him. A part of herself couldn't believe how bold she was being with kissing him like this.

At his disappointment, Leanne giggles a little before blushing a little, pouting just a bit. "I thought that I already told you or at least it was obvious...." So much pouting right now. She goes to look away, blushing even more when he states his desire and slowly nods her head, granting him permission to kiss her again.

He blushes too, mirroring his shyness with her own. It's all laughter and smiles. "...I think it's obvious for the both of us." He said, teasing her a bit. He truly wanted to be sure of their feelings, and he's happy it's mutual.

"I was pretty sure of you when you cared for me, so I'll do the same for you." He has long imagined his future with her. "Leanne, whatever the future holds, I am certain. That we can face it together, and you don't have to face it alone. I like doing things like this everyday with you. It's moment like these, it's making memories with you."

He leans in slowly, closing in between them. "You're the one I wanted to marry." He whispers and kisses her sweet lips again, slowly, softly.

She continues to pout and even huffs a little, pretending to be mad. "It was pretty obvious the more we hanged out together." So much blushing right now. "But especially on my birthday..."

At his words, she goes to start nuzzling his cheek and neck, trying to hide her face while being affectionate with him at the same time. "Even if I wanted to be alone, you were there." She coos as she nuzzles him.

"Even though I am Laguz and you are a Beorc?" She asks as she pulls back just in time for him to lean in slowly. This time around, she won't pull back or block his attempt to kiss her. Instead, she moves her hands to drape over his shoulders as she kisses him back.

As of now, he's too happy for words with his head in the clouds. "Yes, your birthday...back then I was hoping to celebrate it properly." Then and there, he was about to ask her to marry him too, but...he's hesitant. The timing isn't right. After all, they met a few months since spring...no not yet. He's going to take it slow and gain her trust first, that's important.

He's just as shy she is when she's trying to hide her face away from him. "I wouldn't mind if you wanted to be alone, but I kept you company to make sure you're all right. You were hurt. I went looking for you because I don't want you to be lost." Especially she's the only heron laguz alone in the valley.

At her question, he took a long moment to consider his answer. Her question is important. When he thought of an answer, he kisses her again since he always wanted to do that.

With much seriousness, making a solemn vow. "I'll honor your Laguz heritage and traditions and you can practice them safely here. If someone is out to hunt you or us and have a problem with that, then they'll have to go through me first. I rather you don't change a thing about yourself because you're simply you." He said. "Though you can be whoever you want to be. Here, you're free and... I love you, Leanne."

He gathers her in a protective hug. "So, stay here as long as you like, and we can make this valley a home here. As long you're happy."
