He brought her to a field of wildflowers, grown in the fields untouched by humans, hidden in the forest, grown in the wild. When they arrived there, they found a lone mother doe and a baby deer grazing and eating the sweet flowers, but their presence made them skittish and they trotted away from them.

"This. This place. I found this a while ago because some locals said they spotted faeries gathered here at night. I went hunting for faeries but didn't find any. But I did find this..."

He gestured her to look up and see a full bright moon and with a soft glowing light, it shines on the wildflowers that surrounds them all over the fields.

She smiles when he agrees to not call her "Princess". She felt a little bad hiding it from him but... Such a title was meaningless when you are the very last of your kind. She leans up to give him a kiss on the cheek to reaffirming her preference.

Just Leanne, she is just a normal girl here. She doesn't want any special treatment due to her bloodline.

Emerald eyes blink as he takes her to the hidden garden and she couldn't help but to gasp at the beauty of it. She follows his instructions and looks up at the moon, her hand trying to slip out of his hand in order to twirl and dance a little in the moonlight, being careful of all the flowers here as she dances.

With that confirmation, he nodded and understood.

He stood by, standing guard, and observes her dancing and communing with the wildflowers and trees, and waited. He wanted her to enjoy the serene nature as much as he does. For a moment, she does look like a fairy...with a difference in wings.

When her dance is done, and he was entranced, for a moment, he almost has forgotten the real reason he brought her here.

"Leanne, I....this has been on my mind." He began, and once that capture her attention. "But first...had you ever wanted to go back home?" It was something he was curious about, and they had talked about her staying in the valley here, where he will keep her safe and protected. "I had seen people returned home."

"Here, I can keep you safe and protected, and I know we can have a happy life here...together." He said, but he's brought it up, wondering if she wanted the same thing as he does...having a future together.

She giggles as she finishes her dance and smiles lovingly at Saga. This place was beautiful and she was truly grateful for this gift.

She tilts her head at his question before letting out a sigh, looking up at the moon before moving to sit down, patting the spot next to her.

"There is nothing for me back at my home... Only a sleep which I cannot awaken from." She goes to look down at her feet, wiggling her toes a little. "The unwaking sleep and loneliness of it. If I go back.... I may never get to experience life again, I may never get this chance again."

If he took her offer of sitting next to her, she would lean over and just lean on him, her eyes half closing. "Plus, you wouldn't be there... I... I want to be selfish and stay here. Stay here for as long as I am able."

Saga sat down next to her, so she can lean on him as much as she likes, his strong arm is the best place to lay her head on. He listens and nods, and after a few long moments, he's blushing as he's trying to sort out his thoughts and feelings that has been on his mind and in his heart.

"Then you...you don't have to go back. Stay here with me. Even though if you do feel like going back home, I will go with you. With me, you are free. I know we can build a future here together, just me and you. I'll devote my entire life to you." He said as the passion and love he has for her is really hitting the crescendo.

"I...I love you." He said. "I believe it's no accident you came to this valley and we live side by side as neighbors. I came here because I'm seeking a new purpose and leaving my past behind. I do believe in fate and destiny. I served a Goddess Athena back home as her priest and warrior, so I always read in the stars of my fate and the fate of others."

He waited, he waited a long time to tell her and the timing seem to be right. "Every night, I start dreaming about you, and everyday when I wake up, I will rush to see you because I was hoping you stay by my side and I'll stay by yours." Now it's his turn to fidget with his own hair nervously. "I believe our stars are good together and we are compatible, and any difficulty we face, we will face it together."

Actually, that's not what he really wanted to say, so Saga shifted his focus to the main reason.

"Leanne, I simply love you. Very madly and deeply so. I want to be forever with you." Now he's blushing red and his heart thumping, his heart is so open. "If you believe in soulmates, that I believed you're my soulmate and in my heart, it's written in the stars."

There. That's what he wanted to say.

She closes her eyes after she said her piece, leaning against his strong arm. Her eyes slowly reopens when he starts speaking again, pouring his heart out to her. The warmth of his love and heart can easily be felt and she couldn't help but to blush as she listens to him.

"I.... I also believe that it wasn't an accident that we became neighbors. It seemed like the goddess Ashuera wanted us to meet." She idly scoots a little bit in order to cuddle with him.

"You dream about me? What was I like in the dreams?" And seeing him fidget with his hair and getting nervous.... It was... It was cute and a little adorable. She lets out a small giggle at the sight as she listens to his newest confession.

Well, for him, there really wasn't a way to properly respond to it other than this. She leans up, moving to her knees so that she was more on his level, one hand moving to gently cup his face within it before she leans forward to give him the most loving kiss she could muster. Her arms moving to idly drape over his shoulders as she kisses him, holding it there for a few moments before finally breaking it so they can both get some air.

"What do you look like in dreams? Beautiful as you are and radiant." He answered, and he's about to say something when he was broken off by her kiss, her soft lips being pressed against his. At that moment, he wondering if he's really dreaming, but this is real. Her lips, her warm, and she truly returning his feelings.

He looks a bit disappointed when the kiss is over, and with the way his eyes not leaving her. A slow blush crept on his cheeks. "Do you feel the same for me...?" He said, with such a hopeful look and following suit, he cupped her cheeks, tucking her blonde hair behind her ears. Despite that she rejected him from before, his feelings for her still remain stronger than ever. "I would like to kiss you again." This time, he wants to do it right like that time he took her to the beach.

She couldn't help but to blush as he begins to describe how she looked in his dreams. She will have to properly retort that once she is done kissing him. A part of herself couldn't believe how bold she was being with kissing him like this.

At his disappointment, Leanne giggles a little before blushing a little, pouting just a bit. "I thought that I already told you or at least it was obvious...." So much pouting right now. She goes to look away, blushing even more when he states his desire and slowly nods her head, granting him permission to kiss her again.

He blushes too, mirroring his shyness with her own. It's all laughter and smiles. "...I think it's obvious for the both of us." He said, teasing her a bit. He truly wanted to be sure of their feelings, and he's happy it's mutual.

"I was pretty sure of you when you cared for me, so I'll do the same for you." He has long imagined his future with her. "Leanne, whatever the future holds, I am certain. That we can face it together, and you don't have to face it alone. I like doing things like this everyday with you. It's moment like these, it's making memories with you."

He leans in slowly, closing in between them. "You're the one I wanted to marry." He whispers and kisses her sweet lips again, slowly, softly.

She continues to pout and even huffs a little, pretending to be mad. "It was pretty obvious the more we hanged out together." So much blushing right now. "But especially on my birthday..."

At his words, she goes to start nuzzling his cheek and neck, trying to hide her face while being affectionate with him at the same time. "Even if I wanted to be alone, you were there." She coos as she nuzzles him.

"Even though I am Laguz and you are a Beorc?" She asks as she pulls back just in time for him to lean in slowly. This time around, she won't pull back or block his attempt to kiss her. Instead, she moves her hands to drape over his shoulders as she kisses him back.

As of now, he's too happy for words with his head in the clouds. "Yes, your birthday...back then I was hoping to celebrate it properly." Then and there, he was about to ask her to marry him too, but...he's hesitant. The timing isn't right. After all, they met a few months since spring...no not yet. He's going to take it slow and gain her trust first, that's important.

He's just as shy she is when she's trying to hide her face away from him. "I wouldn't mind if you wanted to be alone, but I kept you company to make sure you're all right. You were hurt. I went looking for you because I don't want you to be lost." Especially she's the only heron laguz alone in the valley.

At her question, he took a long moment to consider his answer. Her question is important. When he thought of an answer, he kisses her again since he always wanted to do that.

With much seriousness, making a solemn vow. "I'll honor your Laguz heritage and traditions and you can practice them safely here. If someone is out to hunt you or us and have a problem with that, then they'll have to go through me first. I rather you don't change a thing about yourself because you're simply you." He said. "Though you can be whoever you want to be. Here, you're free and... I love you, Leanne."

He gathers her in a protective hug. "So, stay here as long as you like, and we can make this valley a home here. As long you're happy."

She gains a guilty expression when he mentioned that he wanted to celebrate her birthday properly. "I am sorry that I ruined your wish back then." She looks away briefly before looking back at him, into his eyes. She was sensing something but couldn't quite place a finger yet.

"....I am glad that you did went looking for me. I needed someone to help me but I didn't know it at the time." She coos and lifts a hand to pet his face, stroking it with the back of her nails.

But then the pause came and she is glad, glad that he is taking her question so seriously. His kiss came as a small surprise as she was not expecting one and then his words. Leanne smiles up at his words and allows herself to be gathered in a protective hug.

"I love you too, Saga." She spoke as tears of happiness start forming in her eyes. She goes to give him a kiss. "Your traditions are just as important." She goes to let out a sigh and gives his lips and face a few more kisses. "Do you still want to marry me, Saga?" She teases a little getting comfortable in his arms.

"It's not about me...when I found you, you were clearly upset about something. I was hoping it wasn't anyone in the valley who hurt you or after you in a witch hunt, but it turns out it's something that happened to you back home. I wish I can do something about it." But the past can't be changed, especially what happened to her and Serenes. He can't think of anyone wanting to do a witch hunt here, considering the valley accept residents that is not even human in origin.

"Well, you're not alone. I have a feeling you wanted to reach out and I truly wanted to help." He had her being encircled in his embrace, as they enjoy the quiet night in this small part of the forest. Her body being meld with his almost perfectly, and her scent to him, so flower sweet, like a flower. A calm, soothing scent. He could spend all night kissing her while holding her in his arms.

"Where I'm from, it's a fairly laidback tradition." He said. "I was about to ask you later..." Meaning making a proper proposal. "I won't...don't say yes to something you're not ready for. Your choice is important too." He said, and loosen his arms around her a little. "Whatever your answer is, I'm good with what we are now." After all, he's truly prepared that a heron's love is a forever deal.

"You did all that you could do and that is enough. You helped me through it." She coos at him, trying to comfort him. "I am truly grateful for that."

She goes to let out a contented sigh as her body melds easily against his. This was almost perfect, but she couldn't think of a way to make it more perfect. This strange Beorc male.... There was something so pure in him and it showed in his love for her.

Her eyes closed as she explains his traditions about marriage. "Silly..." She chides him a little before reopening her eyes. "I will say yes to you, for whenever you are ready to ask."

She then moves to try and slip out of his arms in order to lay down in the flowers. "Lie with me, Saga?" A blush was forming on her face as she asks. Weather he does or not, she will sigh as she stares up at the moon, enjoying the peace this small patch of forest.

"This place..." She goes to blush even more. "This place is the perfect place for me to become mates.... Or a wife in Beorc terms."

"So...yes? Do you truly mean that...?" He asked. Her answer sparked a lot of hope and potential possibilities, that he is encouraged to make a proper proposal later on. "If you do, I have a good mind finding the perfect ring for you. I mean, that's how beorcs do it. They go find an engagement ring when they want to marry the One for them."

As he spoke, he holds her hands, feeling her slender fingers and memorize the size in his mind, so the right ring will fit her. Compared to him, he has such big hands...fearsome hands that when he squeezed into a fist, it's those same fists that can knock a soldier saint midair and make them crash them into a wall. Yet the same hands are holding her small hands...

With a nod, since that's what he wanted and desired too, together they lay down on the soft grass surrounded by the scent of the wildflowers, and he nudges her to lay her head down on his chest or arm, whatever makes her comfortable. The bright full moon and the view of the evening sky and the stars above the canopy of the forest trees is in sight.

He realized he's far away from his original homeland where he left with guilt and shame, though Athena told him he is forgiven for his sins after he fulfilled his duty to her during the Holy War against the God of Death. It seems that was in his distant past...

Being shy, when they lay together like this, holding each other and simply talking. It felt like the most natural thing in the entire world. "That's what I was thinking. Think about it, if we married, we can live together in the same house." Blushing again. "You can move in with me..."

He is being cute right now. That hope sparking to life within him. "Maaaybe~" She begins to tease a little. "Are you asking?" But then he goes to explain how beorcs marry and her cheeks goes to flare up in a blush as he holds her hands.

His hands... They were always so big compared to hers and they were a constant reminder of how much of a runt she is. Strong calloused hands that has seen warfare and the lives being shed by them, but yet, how gently and delicately they hold her own small ones.

She goes to shift in order to rest on his arm for now, letting his scent mingle with the wildflowers surrounding them. She listens as he speaks and giggles a little. "Well, once we are mates then yes.... I will move in with you." She coos as she just looks at him, studying his image in the moonlight.

A full rush of suddenly feeling shy and bashful starts to overtake her and she uses a wing to try and hide her face. "..... Just promise to take me back here while the flowers still bloom and...." And oh goddess! She can't finish that sentence and she finds herself just burying her face against his arm and staying under her wing.

"Well, guy Berocs have a specific way to ask. It was supposed to be a surprise. You see, the man will have the plan all the long, and then he'll surprise his special one in his own way. Some jump out of airplanes with parachutes or go ask by scuba diving underwater. Of course, the normal way as most sane guys will do is to tell her how much he means to her and then simply ask, kneel, present the ring while they both have dinner or have a party with their friends and family as a witness."

He trailed off because honestly, he has no idea how he would ask her. But it was on his mind to surprise her when she least expects it.

No, don't be bashful! He's starting to feel shy as he shares his thoughts and ideas. At that possibility, he tries to contain his excitement. "You will? Just think about it. It will be easier and our land will expand twice the size. I really want to make my house bigger. At least, I think it's traditional for the wife to move in with the husband...and it will be easier for me to take care of you."

While she's hiding shyly beneath her wing, she's being too adorable now. Definitely, the woman he wanted to marry. "Everything. I promise. There's actually a lot of areas with flowers around the forest like this one, so if you want to take a walk and see the rest, I'll be happy to show you. Close-by there's a lake where there's a lot of swans and cranes swimming and made their nest if you want to see them."

She listens him explain even moreso the tradition of asking a female to become their mate. She giggles and just smiles at him. "Beorc males seem to be more interesting than we Herons." She giggles out. "Our one festival or holiday we share, it is basically where anyone who just became an adult court and get mates. Males will usually sing to females and if she likes his song, she will sing to complete it." She goes to let out a long sigh at the memory. "Then they will become mates, even if it was the first time they ever met."

Her bashfulness comes out even more as she sighs, watching him. "Yes, of course. You would be my mate then. But what should I do with my house once I move in?"

She remains under her wing, can't believe herself that she was almost completely bold there for a moment. "I would love to see them." She shyly spoke, idly lifting her wing just enough to peek at him. But right now, she is enjoying this field of flowers with him. "But I am also comfortable here as well...."

He actually likes the idea of such a courtship ritual. "A song...later on, I shall have to find such a song for us, a song that complete us." He said wistfully. "I don't have a song in mind when we first met." The song has to be perfect. "But when I do find one, it will complete us as one."

He thought about her question and consider it. "It shall remain as it is. I think you simply move your belongings, the items you felt the most useful to my place to make it easier to live with me." Still, the thought of her moving in with him excite him a great deal. He was living alone in his home, and every so often, craving her company, even she lives just a five-minute walk from him. If she moves in with him, they can cuddle like this often and every night he hoped...her body and her wings feel warm and she felt delicate yet solid when he held her like this.

He did feel his home empty at several points time to time, so it was the reason he found some pets to care to keep company.

"It is comfortable. We can lie down here for a bit..." He nuzzles on her soft blonde hair, inhaling her scent, and place a kiss on her cheek. "Or sleep, if you want a nap.

Leanne lets out a small giggle and shakes her head. "I will look forward to it. But it would be best to find one that matches you more than us." She isn't expecting him to do it like a heron. She reaches over to pet his hair.

"So I will take just what I need? I guess that makes it easier." She goes to nuzzle him a little, cooing. She still felt shy, laying in his arms and cuddling like this. Being held like this was still quite the intimate experience to her as she blushes.

She closes her eyes as he nuzzles her hair and kisses her cheek. At his words, she couldn't help but to giggle and moves to just stare up at the moon. "If I nap, I would be bad company to you."

With a nod, "Yes, take what you need." The heron still has her property and her land, and it's a simple walk next to his. Since it's fall, there might time for him to expand the house and make it bigger before winter.

The moon shines its soft light on the two lovers. "How come? I never felt you're bad company at all. Unless you're the type to snore in your sleep?" He teased.

"All I can think of are my teas and the dolls you got for me." She moves to cuddle against him even moreso. This whole thing still felt like a dream to her. It was hard to imagine that she was a lover to a beroc.

At his teasing, she gives him a playful push, perking her wings up a little. "Because it would be rude if I slept while you remained awake.... And I don't snore!"

"That would be good..." It seems she doesn't have much and neither is he. Saga is happy with the all cuddling and indeed, he felt like it's like a dream too.

All of that pushing. "Well, if we get married, it's something I want to get used to." That means sharing a bed with her if they get married. Well, he isn't sleeping now and neither is she, so he got up and take her hand. "Want to see that lake? I have to show you, as I want to take a walk with you."

She didn't have or need much. Just a safe place to call home. She idly moves to run her nails through his hair, using them to comb the blue mane.

A soft chuckle escapes her at his words and she goes to shake her head. "But not before we become mated, Darling." Leanne moves so he could get up easier and lets him take her hand. "We can go and see it, but it would be hard to beat here."

He got such long hair, long enough to make a braid out of it, though hers is much longer and wavier. He has to get used to this, all of this affection. "It's going to get cold at night, so I don't intend to sleep here all night. I won't forgive myself if you catch a cold."

Taking her hand, he leads the way on a path through the forest and leads her to a calm, still lake with clear waters where the swans and cranes are swimming and making a nest around the lake. If Leanne love that space, she'll love this space more. The swans swim in pairs, and the Japanese cranes with their long necks and legs, and unusual marks of black and red patches on white feathers hang together as a flock.

"Here they are. I want to show you this. I think they're magnificent especially when they spread their wings and fly. I learn they mate for life and when they court each other, they make songs and dance to their mates. Just like us."

A soft chuckle, he really hopes she likes those birds and win her approval. "Those birds are really beautiful and graceful...just like you."
